Note: This feature requires the Chemical Inventory module licensed at your site.
A lot's details include its identification (product name, manufacturer, and description), its product category assignments, and other basic settings. The following is a complete list of the data items you can view (and, with the required permissions, edit) in a lot's details.
● Current Location: The location at your site where the lot is currently recorded.
● Current Owner: The user currently selected as the owner of the lot.
● Product Name: The name of the product represented or contained by the lot.
● Manufacturer: The company that manufactures the product represented or contained by the lot.
● Description: A description that helps identify the nature or use of the lot within your company.
● Expires: The expiration date of the lot (often calculated automatically using the shelf life of the lot's component; see SDS Primary Information or Part Physical Properties).
● Inactive: When this box is selected, the lot is inactive (typically due to being depleted or disposed of). Inactive lots do not appear in search results or report outputs unless the user chooses to include them.
Note: When a lot is disposed of or its balance is depleted (using transactions; see Lot Transactions for details), it is automatically set inactive.
● Categories: This area shows the product categories to which the lot is assigned (and from which it is excluded). If a category’s Excluded box is selected, the lot is specifically excluded from that category. If the lot's component is defined by an SDS or part (see Lot Components for details), the lot automatically adopts the product category assignments and exclusions of the component product. To view a lot's details:
Starting at the Lot Home page (How do I get there?), do the following:
● Under Additional Details, click Details.
The lot's current details are displayed. See the list above for more on each detail setting.
