Creating a Use Restriction

Create a use restriction to add new notes or instructions to be displayed when users are reviewing requested products that contain (or do not contain) chemicals cited by the use restriction's related chemical list. After the new use restriction is saved, it becomes available for selection for MRAP tasks of the following types:

        MRAP Task Type: Use Restrictions

MRAP Task Type: Use Restrictions (Misses)

To create a use restriction:

Starting at the administrative Use Restrictions page (How do I get there?), do the following:

1.      In the menu on the left, under DATA > Use Restrictions, click New Use Restriction.

Fields appear for entering the new use restriction's properties.

2.      In the Use Restriction Name field, enter the new use restriction's name. This should be a descriptive name that summarizes or introduces the purpose of the use restriction.

3.      In the List Name menu, select the chemical list to which the use restriction applies. (These are the chemical lists from the administrative List Matching page; see Administration: Chemical Lists.)

4.      In the Content field, enter the text to be displayed when users are reviewing requested products that contain (or do not contain) chemicals cited by this use restriction's chemical list.

5.      Click Save.

The new use restriction is saved. You are returned to the administrative Use Restrictions page, which now shows the new use restriction. This new use restriction is now available for selection for Use Restrictions and Use Restrictions (Misses) MRAP tasks (see Administration: MRAP Tasks).
