Creating a PPE Value

Note: This feature requires the Material Request & Approval module licensed at your site.

Create a PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) value to represent an item of personal protective equipment used in the handling of a product. After you create a value, users can select it during the performance of Personal Protective Equipment tasks (see MRAP Task Type: Personal Protective Equipment).

When you create a PPE value, you define the following properties for it:

        Value Name: The identifying name or code of the value.

        Category: The PPE category to which the value belongs. (For details on viewing and managing these categories, see Administration: PPE Categories.)

        Comments: Any helpful information on the nature or details of the value (optional).

PPE values created at Corporate become available for operations at all local sites using Corporate MRAP values (see Site Settings). PPE values created at a local site become available for operations at that site only.

To create a PPE value:

Starting at the administrative PPE Values page (How do I get there?), do the following:

1.      In the menu on the left, under MATERIAL REQUEST > PPE Categories, click New Value.

Fields appear for entering the new value's properties.

2.      Enter the new value's properties. (See above for details on each.)

3.      Click Save.

The new PPE value is saved and added to the display. Performers of Personal Protective Equipment tasks can now select this value.
