Add-On Modules

An add-on module is a link to any URL that supplements your Comply Plus system. This can be anything from a useful internet or intranet web page to a custom Comply Plus page provided by Sphera. Add-on modules fall into the following types:

Basic: A simple link to a URL.

Parameterized: A link to a search engine that allows you to perform an external search (such as a Google search) from within Comply Plus.

When an add-on module is licensed at your site, it becomes available on the Add-On Modules page. Depending on its settings, it can also appear on the SDS Search Center. (For details on configuring add-on modules, see Administration: Add-On Modules.) See the following topics for details on how to use any add-on module licensed at your site:

Opening a Basic Add-On Module: Open the URL of a basic add-on module.

Searching with a Parameterized Add-On Module: Perform an external search using a parameterized add-on module.

Setting a Basic Add-On Module as the Comply Plus Home Page: When an add-on module is designed by Sphera as a custom Comply Plus page, set it as your workstation's Comply Plus home page.
