A view station user is typically a user with permission only to search, view, and print data in Comply Plus. Because they cannot make any changes to data in Comply Plus—and are therefore a low risk to data integrity—view station users can enter the application without identifying themselves. This enables them to quickly login and access the necessary data during chemical emergencies or other urgent situations.
Note: The setup described above is standard, but not required. A user without permission to edit data can be required to enter a user name and password; in this case, the user would login as an administrator.
To login as a view station
user:
Starting at the Login page (How do I get there?), do the following:
1. In the Language list, select the language in which you want Comply Plus text to appear.
The intrinsic text on the screen changes to the selected language.
2. In the Site list, select the site where you want to login. (To search the list for the desired site, use the search field above the list.)
Note: View station users can login at local sites only. To login at the Corporate site, you must login as an administrator.
3. Optional: To bypass the Login page at this workstation in future (and have Comply Plus automatically log you in as a view station user using the selected language and site), select the Set as Default check box.
4. Click Login.
You are logged in at the selected site. Your Comply Plus home page (typically, the SDS Search Center) opens. (For details on this setting, see Setting the Comply Plus Home Page.)
