When an SDS is related to a part—because they share certain characteristics, because they represent products used in a single process, because they are different representations of the same product, or for any other reason—this SDS can be added to the part as a related SDS. The result is a "see also" feature, enabling users viewing the part to quickly access its related SDSs.
Note: Just as parts can have related SDSs, SDSs can have related parts; for details, see SDS Related Parts. When a related SDS is added to a part, that part automatically becomes a related part for that SDS.
To view a part's related SDSs:
Starting at the Part Home page (How do I get there?), do the following:
1. Under Additional Details, click Related SDSs.
The Related SDSs page opens, showing the part's current related SDSs.
2. Using the check boxes above the SDS list, show/hide data as desired:
● Detailed (2-Line) Display: Select to show each SDS's document ID, language, SDS format, and internal ID on the display.
● Show Archived SDSs: Available only when one or more related SDSs are archived. Select to show these archived SDSs on the display. Each archived SDS shows an archived (
) icon next to its common name.
3. To view a related SDS in greater detail, click its common name.
The SDS's Home page opens in a new browser tab. For details on this display, see The SDS Home Page.

If you have permission to edit part related SDSs, see the following topics for details:
