Create a manufacturer to add a new manufacturer name to your system's manufacturer list. After the new manufacturer is created, its name can be selected by a user selecting a product's manufacturer at any site in the corporation.
Note: Manufacturers created by this procedure can be renamed later (see Editing a Manufacturer). This makes them different from Sphera-supplied manufacturer names, which cannot be renamed.
To create a manufacturer:
Starting at the administrative Manufacturers page (How do I get there?), do the following:
1. In the menu on the left, under DATA > Manufacturers, click New Manufacturer.
A field appears for entering the new manufacturer's name.
2. Enter the new Manufacturer Name.
3. Click Save in the lower right.
The new manufacturer is saved and is now available to be selected as the manufacturer of products at any site. You are returned to the administrative Manufacturers page, which now shows the new manufacturer name in the appropriate alphabetical section.
