Edit a manufacturer to do either of the following:
● Change its name (available for user-created manufacturers only; Sphera-supplied manufacturers cannot be renamed);
● Add or remove aliases in the manufacturer's alias group. (For details on manufacturer aliases, see Administration: Manufacturers.)
To edit a manufacturer:
Starting at the administrative Manufacturers page (How do I get there?), do the following:
1. In the alphabet bar above the manufacturer list, click the letter that begins the manufacturer name you want to edit. (To edit a manufacturer name that does not begin with a letter, click Other.)
The list shows manufacturer names corresponding to your selection.
2. In the Action column, click the edit (
) icon of the manufacturer you want to edit.
The display shows the manufacturer name; user-created manufacturer names are shown in a field. The Alias Group area shows all manufacturers currently in this manufacturer's alias group.
3. Do any of the following:
● To change the manufacturer's name (available for user-created manufacturers only): Enter the new name in the Manufacturer Name field.
● To add an alias to this manufacturer's alias group: In the Alias Group area, click Add. This opens your system's list of manufacturers. Find and click the manufacturer name you want to add to the alias group.
● To remove an alias from this manufacturer's alias group: In the Alias Group area, select the manufacturer name you want to remove from the alias group. Then click Remove from Alias Group.
4. If you changed this manufacturer's name, click Save. Otherwise, click Done.
Your changes to the manufacturer are saved. You are returned to the administrative Manufacturers page.
