Delete a manufacturer to permanently remove it from your system.
Note: You cannot delete a manufacturer that:
● Is currently selected as the manufacturer of any SDS, part, or lot
● Has any aliases / is an alias for any other manufacturer names
All of these conditions must be removed before a manufacturer can be deleted.
To delete a manufacturer:
Starting at the administrative Manufacturers page (How do I get there?), do the following:
1. In the alphabet bar above the manufacturer list, click the letter that begins the manufacturer name you want to delete. (To edit a manufacturer name that does not begin with a letter, click Other.)
The list shows manufacturer names corresponding to your selection.
2. In the Action column, select the check box of each manufacturer you want to delete.
3. Click the Delete button below the Action column.
A message asks for confirmation. If you confirm and the manufacturer has none of the data dependencies listed above, the manufacturer is deleted.
