Administration: Transaction Attributes

Note: This feature requires the Chemical Inventory module licensed at your site.

A transaction attribute is a classification or notation that can be added to one or more transactions to indicate any noteworthy condition or information surrounding the transactions. For example, the following transaction attributes are included in your system by default:

FR Exclude: When added to a transaction, this attribute indicates the transaction's effect on inventory is exempt from Form R reporting (for details, see Form R Regulatory Reporting).

Mfg Use: When added to a reportable Usage transaction (either a Usage detail transaction or a "Form R Use" Usage summary transaction), this attribute classifies the usage as a "Manufacture Use" under Form R rules.

Other Use: When added to a reportable Usage transaction (either a Usage detail transaction or a "Form R Use" Usage summary transaction), this attribute classifies the usage as an "Otherwise Use" under Form R rules.

Proc Use: When added to a reportable Usage transaction (either a Usage detail transaction or a "Form R Use" Usage summary transaction), this attribute classifies the usage as a "Process Use" under Form R rules.

T2 Exclude: When added to a transaction, this attribute indicates the transaction's effect on inventory is exempt from Tier II reporting (for details, see Tier II Regulatory Reporting).

In addition to these, you can define any other transaction attributes useful for your operations. You can select which transaction attributes apply to your site's transactions using any of the following operations:

Adding/Removing Transaction Attributes: Add any available attributes to (or remove them from) a single transaction.

Adding Transaction Attributes to Transactions in a Collection: Add any available attributes to all transactions in a collection.

Removing Specific Transaction Attributes from Transactions in a Collection: Remove specific attributes from all transactions in a collection.

Clearing All Transaction Attributes from Transactions in a Collection: Remove all attributes from all transactions in a collection.

Entering Form R Usage Transactions: Select all applicable "Use" attributes (see default attribute list above) when entering a new "Form R Use" Usage transaction.

Transaction attributes supplied by Sphera or created at Corporate are available for transactions at all sites. Transaction attributes created at a local site are available for transactions at that site only.

To view a site's available transaction attributes:

Starting at the Application Administration page (How do I get there?), do the following:

In the menu on the left, under INVENTORY, click Transaction Attributes.

The administrative Transaction Attributes page opens, showing all transaction attributes available at your site. The Scope column shows the origin of each transaction attribute:

Attribute was supplied by Sphera. It can be applied to transactions at any site, but cannot be edited or deleted.

Attribute was created at Corporate. It can be applied to transactions at any site, but can be edited or deleted by a Corporate user only.

Attribute was created at your local site. It can apply to transactions at your site only, and can be edited and deleted by a local site user only.

If you have permission to manage transaction attributes, see the following topics for details:

Creating a Transaction Attribute: Create a new attribute to enable a new note or classification to be added to one or more transactions.

Editing a Transaction Attribute: Change the name or description of an existing transaction attribute that was created at your site.

Deleting a Universal Conversion Factor: Delete an obsolete or otherwise unwanted transaction attribute that was created at your site.
