Transaction attributes are additional notes or classifications assigned to a transaction. Each transaction attribute can be assigned to any number of transactions, and each transaction can have any number of attributes. A transaction type can be configured to automatically apply specific attributes to all new transactions of that type; for details, see Administration: Transaction Types.
Use the procedure below to add transaction attributes to—or remove them from—an individual transaction. Adding the correct transaction attributes to a transaction can have numerous benefits. Transaction attributes:
● Supplement transaction details with additional data;
● Can automatically exempt appropriate transactions from regulatory reporting;
● Can be used as criteria to focus transaction searches and reports on transactions having certain attributes.
Note: Using the procedure below, you can add or remove transaction attributes to/from a single transaction. To perform these operations on multiple transactions simultaneously, see the following topics:

To add/remove transaction attributes to/from a transaction:
Starting at the Transaction Home page (How do I get there?), do one or both of the following:
● To add an attribute to the transaction: In the Attributes area, select the desired attribute in the menu and click ADD.
The selected attribute is added to the transaction and shown in the Attributes area. Repeat until all desired attributes are added.
● To remove an attribute from the transaction: In the Attributes area, click the remove (
) icon of the attribute you want to remove.
The selected attribute is removed from the transaction and from the Attributes area. Repeat until all unwanted attributes are removed.
