Administration: Storage Pressures

Note: This feature requires the Tier II Regulatory Reporting module licensed at your site.

When a product or substance is found to require Tier II reporting, you must define its storage conditions as part of submitting a complete record. This is done using either of the following operations:

Assigning Storage Conditions to a Product

Performing a Storage Conditions MRAP task (requires the Material Request & Approval module)

Each set of storage conditions you define includes three aspects of storage:

        Storage pressure

        Storage temperature

Storage type (which describes the container or other environment of storage)

When selecting a storage pressure, you can select from any of the storage pressures defined in your system. By default, your system contains all standard storage pressures valid for Tier II reporting, but in case of sudden rule changes or other unforeseen circumstances, you can create your own. Storage pressures created at Corporate are available for selection at any site; storage pressures created at a local site are available at that site only.

To view the storage pressures available at your site:

Starting at the Application Administration page (How do I get there?), do the following:

1.      In the menu on the left, under REGULATORY REPORTING, click Storage Pressures.

The administrative Storage Pressures page opens, showing all storage pressures available at your site. Each pressure's properties are shown in the following columns:

Scope: The origin of each storage pressure, indicated by one of the following icons:

Pressure was created at Corporate. It is available for operations at any site, but can be edited or deleted by a Corporate user only.

Pressure was created at your local site. It is available for operations at your site only, and can be edited and deleted by a local site user only.

Code: The official ID code of the storage pressure in Tier II terminology.

Description: The primary name or description of the storage pressure.

2.      Optional: To view the notes attached to each storage pressure, select the Show Notes check box in the lower right.

Each pressure's attached notes are added to the display. To remove them from the display, clear the Show Notes check box.

If you have permission to manage storage pressures, see the following topics for details:

Creating a Storage Pressure: Create a new storage pressure for selection in Tier II storage conditions.

Editing a Storage Pressure: Change one or more properties of any existing storage pressure that was created at your site.

Deleting a Storage Pressure: Permanently remove an obsolete or otherwise unwanted storage pressure.
