Deleting a Request

Note: This feature requires the Material Request & Approval module licensed at your site.

When you delete a request, you permanently remove it from your system. Therefore, a request should be deleted only when it was created by mistake. If a request has been suspended or cancelled but should retain a record in your system, do not delete it; instead, edit the request (see Editing a Request) and change its request status to a Closed status. This retains the request and all associated data in your system, but removes the request from requester and approver activity.

To delete a request:

Starting at the Material Request & Approval page (How do I get there?), do the following:

1.      Open the desired request using the MRAP search tool or by clicking a link to the request in an MRAP email. If this opens a Request Summary display, click Tasks in the upper right.

The request's current task list opens.

2.      Click Delete Request in the lower right. To confirm, click OK.

The request is permanently deleted from your system.
