One method of adding SDSs to an SDS collection requires a list of the document IDs or file names of the SDSs you want to add. You can enter the list manually or copy-and-paste it from another document (for example, the Document ID or File Name column from a Quick View SDS report—see Reports—generated as an Excel spreadsheet). Each SDS is located by the entered document ID or file name and immediately added to the collection. This method can be very useful when you have a long list of SDSs to add.

To add SDSs to an SDS collection
by ID:
Starting at the SDS Collection Home page (How do I get there?), do the following:
1. In the collection toolbar, click Add to Collection.
The SDS Collection Builder page opens.
2. Select which SDS identifier your list will use: Document ID or File Name.
3. In the text box, enter the document ID or file name—according to your selection in the previous step—of each SDS you want to add to this collection, entering only one per line. Type this list manually or copy-and-paste it from another document (such as the Document ID or File Name column of a Quick View SDS report generated as an Excel document).
4. Click the Next button to perform the operation. An SDS Collection Builder Summary shows the operation’s results on each entered SDS. Click Return to the Collection contents page to exit.
