Creating an Exposure Limit Type

Create an exposure limit type to enable users at all sites to record a new type of exposure limit for:

        SDSs (see SDS Exposure Limits);

        SDS ingredients (see Editing an SDS Ingredient).

To create an exposure limit type:

Starting at the administrative Exposure Limits page (How do I get there?), do the following:

1.      In the menu on the left, under DATA > Exposure Limits, click New Exposure Limit.

The New Exposure Limit page opens, showing fields for the new exposure limit type.

2.      In the Exposure Limit field, enter the name or common ID term for the new exposure limit type.

3.      In the Description field, enter a helpful description or additional notes for the new exposure limit type.

4.      Click Save.

The new exposure limit type is saved. You are returned to the administrative Exposure Limits page, which now shows the new exposure limit type. Users at all sites can now use the new exposure limit type to record exposure limits for SDSs (see SDS Exposure Limits) and individual SDS ingredients (see Editing an SDS Ingredient).
