Note: This operation can be performed by the collection's creator only.
Edit a collection's properties to change its name and/or access level. The available access levels are:
● Private: Collection can be viewed only by you.
● Site: Collection can be viewed by other users at your site only.
● Global: Collection can be viewed by users at all sites. (This level not available for lot and transaction collections.)
Changing a collection's access level only affects which users can view the collection. Regardless of its access level, only a collection's creator can modify its properties or contents.
To edit a collection's properties:
Starting at the Collections page (How do I get there?), do the following:
1. Click the tab of the type of the desired collection: SDS, Part, Lot, Transaction, or Chemical. This opens a list of all collections of the chosen type (that you have permission to view).
2. In the Action column, click the desired collection’s edit (
) icon. (If this icon does not appear next to the desired collection, the collection was not created by you and therefore you cannot edit it.)
3. Change the Collection Name and/or the Collection Access Level.
4. Click the OK button.
